Tips for hotels stays in Lisbon

Lisbon's hills and cobbled streets can be challenging, so choose accommodation close to metro or tram stops if you plan to explore widely. Many hotels are in walkable neighborhoods, but comfortable shoes are essential.

Summers are hot and busy, so book well in advance if you're visiting between June and August. Spring and autumn offer milder weather and fewer crowds, making them ideal for sightseeing.

Many Lisbon hotels are housed in historic buildings with compact rooms. If space is a priority, consider aparthotels or modern properties, which often provide more room to spread out.

Noise can be a factor in lively areas like Bairro Alto or Alfama. If you're a light sleeper, request a quieter room or look for hotels on side streets.

While credit cards are widely accepted, carrying some cash is useful for small cafés and markets. Also, check if your hotel provides a shuttle service or is near public transport for airport transfers.
